How long do I have to load or unload my PODS container?
Take your time - your PODS container rental is monthly, giving you the flexibility to pack and unload at your own pace. Your 30-day billing cycle starts when we deliver your container.
What is the wind resistance of a PODS container?
PODS containers are engineered to withstand wind velocities up to 110 mph when fully loaded, depending on specific weather conditions and proper container placement. This robust design helps protect your belongings during typical weather events.
Are there eyelets or tie downs in the container?
Yes, most PODS containers include eyelets spaced every 4 feet along the interior walls, while our newer containers feature e-track slots for even more flexible securing options. Please note that you'll need to provide your own straps to secure your items.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes, each PODS container size has a specific weight capacity:
- 8' Container = 5,200 lbs
- 12' Container = 4,700 lbs
- 16' Container = 4,200 lbs
You don't need to calculate your content's exact weight—these limits serve as guidelines when packing. If you're concerned about exceeding the maximum weight, identify your heaviest items (appliances, sofas, entertainment centers, bookcases, safes, exercise equipment, pianos, etc.) and check comparable items online for weight specifications. The total weight of your heaviest items shouldn't exceed 75% of the container's weight limit.
