I like your suggestion to clean the mattress and let it thoroughly dry before we put it into a storage unit. My sister is looking for a heated storage unit for some extra furniture since she'll be downsizing to a smaller home around next spring. I'll have to share this info to make sure she has a plan for preparing the mattress before storing it!
