Phoenix Arizona was first founded in 1881. And in the nearly century and a half since its founding the Phoenix has grown to become the fifth largest city in the whole country. And not only is it the largest city in Arizona, it also happens to be the state’s capital. Situated just southwest of central Arizona, Phoenix is located in the Valley of the Sun and part of the Salt River Valley. But there is so much more to Phoenix than sunshine and desert air. Phoenix’s economy is made up of everything from financial services and trade transportation to hospitality and education. It has a vibrant nightlife, plenty of cultural diversity, and world renowned restaurants. It is also home to plenty of great professional sports teams like the Arizona Coyotes, the Phoenix Suns, the Cardinals, and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
